Welcome to my gallery, I am Shaun Horne. I'm a dedicated plein air painter ( I make landscape paintings by direct observation on-site). I have been making large realistic landscape paintings around Crested Butte, and elsewhere, for twenty four years. My wife, Dawn Cohen, also paints large landscape paintings on-site year round.
In a previous gallery life I was the creator and owner of the Oh-Be-Joyful Gallery in Crested Butte, Colorado (from 2007-2015), and The Oh-Be-Joyful Gallery in Telluride (from 2013-2017). I was also the creator and director of the Crested Butte Plein Air Invitationals in 2011 and 2014, which were elite and very successful plein air events.
Our current gallery (Opened 2018) specializes in representing the best American landscape painters working today. Collecting that group of artists is an ongoing evolution. So far we are representing Jay Moore, Ray Roberts, Don Sahli, Gay Faulkenberry, Carolyn Lord, Bruce A. Gomez, and Bryan Mark Taylor. If you know American landscape painting, you are impressed. These are each famous and great painters.
