Selve are an alternative rock band led by Loki Liddle (Jabirr Jabirr) and Reece Bowden (Anaiwan), who are known for dazzling audiences at their live shows at Woodford Folk Festival, BLAK DAY OUT, Springtime, Brisbane Festival and BIGSOUND.
The 5-piece band is comprised of Reece Bowden (Lead Guitar/Bass), Creation Saffigna (BV’s/Lead Vocals), Liam Kirk (Keyboards), Michael Baldi (Drums) and Loki Liddle (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar).
In 2021 Selve were recipients of the Gold Coast Music Award and were also nominated for the QMusic Billy Thorpe Scholarship. That year they received funding to complete a 14-day residency at The Pink Hotel Coolangatta, which resulted in the recording of 2 x twin EP’s (The Neon Parable of The Pink Hotel pt.1 + pt.2) which were released in 2022. Their first EP ‘Snake of Light’ was released in 2020 and set them on a musical trajectory that has led through change and transformation to the Selve of 2023.
