Description: The Self Repairing Cities project, hosted by Leeds University, aims to develop a series of robots to detect and fix mechanical and engineering faults.
This project aims to tackle the Grand Challenge of Zero disruption from streetworks in UK cities by 2050 by developing robots that will identify, diagnose and repair street-works through minimally invasive techniques, starting with three case studies: Perch & Repair; Perceive & Patch; and Fire & Forget. In addition, we will look at the implications of this technology for our cities, society and environment in: City & Society.
