Seeds form the basis of the food chain in the dry environment of the Sonoran Desert in the American Southwest. These native seeds and plants have been used for food and medicine for thousands of years. This photography project investigates the connections between seeds, animals, and people in the desert, as well as the impact that these plants have had across the world. Macro-photographs of the seeds and seed pods are taken to highlight their features and foster the connection between people and the plants
Bio: Taylor James is an artist who works in the photographic medium, MFA graduate, and college educator living in Phoenix, Arizona.
