Cultivating Mindfulness in Everyday Life, in Education and in the Workplace
Thoughts and emotions color the way we see things. We may not be able to change a situation, but we can change the way we perceive it. Mindfulness practices allow us to change perspective, enabling us to see more clearly and be more creative in response to challenges. With awareness, it is possible to free ourselves from the conditioned mind and negative thought patterns and behaviors.
Mindfulness is "awareness that arises through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment and non- judgmentally." (Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD).
