The Savannah is an exotic, tall, elegant cat breed which has the African Serval as an ancestor, making its genes different from any other cat breed. The Serval is a wild medium-sized cat native to Africa, with large ears and black spots. The Savannah is one of the largest domestic cat breeds.
The appearance and the behaviour of Savannahs are highly influenced by their inherited Serval genes. In general, Savannahs have a striking dog-like personality and will become forever attached to their owners, following them around the house! They can be trained to walk on a leash and play fetch. Many Savannahs like to play with water, or even take a bath!
