Description: 佐助稲荷神社は閑静な住宅街の奥、銭洗弁天と鎌倉大仏の中間で鎌倉の隠れ里と言われる地にあり、朱の鳥居を抜ける参道から神狐、境内には所狭しと白狐が祀られています。永く鶴岡八幡宮の境外末社でしたが、明治42年（1909年）に独立した社となりました。

There are Sasuke Inari shrine, Zeniarai Benzaiten shrine, Kewaizaka to Ougigatani city of Kamakura in sasuke-cho. (Ougigatani is national designated historic site)

Sasuke Inari shrine is located the back of quiet residential area. There is between Zeniarai Benzaiten shrine and Kamakura great buddha that called Kakurezato (Hidden Village) in Kamakura. You’ll see Shinko (a fox of a messenger of god) on the approach to escape the red torii.There are lots of Byakko (white fox of messenger of god) in shrine precinct. It was offshore subordinate shrine of Tsuruoka Hachimangu for long time, But it became independent in 1909 .
