3rd year Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte , advised by Dr. Samira Shaikh . My primary area of research is developing conversational agents (open domain dialogue systems) and exploring the aspect of personalization and affective/emotional generations through these systems. My other research interests include understanding human behavior, inspecting how cognitive biases impact decision making and understanding the role of emojis in communication of messages on social media. --> W
I am a 4th year Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte , advised by Dr. Samira Shaikh . Currently I work as an applied research scientist intern at Amazon. I am broadly interested in the area of Deep learning, NLP, dialog systems (Open-domain & Task-Oriented) and understanding the impact of cognitive biases in decision making.
Prior to this, I was working as a Visting Research Intern at IIT-Madras under the supervision of Dr. Saji K. Matthew, with a focus on anlazying temporal variation of sentiment over time on social media during sporting events. My other research interests include understanding how emojis are used to as tool for communicating messages of solidarity.
