I am a financial economist by training, with special interest in financial intermediation, markets, monetary policy, and corporate finance. I am an Associate Professor of Finance at ESCP Business School. Here, I teach graduate and undergraduate courses and work on a number of research projects, and I am a Director of the Specialization in Investment Banking in the Turin Campus.

I have always been interested in economic efficiency. In my undergraduate studies I focused on business administration, which gave me a good sense of what pursuing efficiency from a business standpoint was like. My masters’ studies in Rome highlighted the importance of different types of organizations in determining aggregate outcomes. Among them, I felt particularly drawn towards banks.
