Everyone on our team has their reasons for participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life - whether it be a spouse, parent, sibling or friend that has been touched by cancer, or the need to create a greater good for society, the one thing we all agree on is that it is unacceptable that 210 Canadians die from cancer every single day.
Every single one of us has been touched by cancer - a parent, spouse, friend, sibling. Last year we lost one of our closest and dearest friends to oral cancer, after a long, strong and courageous battle with it. In the end cancer took him from us physically, but his spirit and strength lives on in all of us. His kindness and compassion will continue through our efforts to ensure that one day, NO ONE has to die from cancer.
We have joined together to do something about it. We will walk to help save lives. The money we raise will fund Canadas most promising cancer research and vital support services for people living with cancer and their families.
