Société animale frontalière/Frontier Animal Society (SAFAS) is a non-profit animal rescue located in the eastern townships of Quebec. Founded in 1986 by Joyce Dekker, our shelter provides a safe and caring environment for our adoptable dogs and cats while they await their forever homes. At any one time the shelter is home to approximately 12 dogs and 25 cats and all animals remain in our care until they are adopted.
SAFAS is run by a Board of Directors, and we rely on the support of volunteers to assist us in our day-to-day operations. As a registered charity, we depend entirely on donations.
