I am a General Manager and Deputy Lab Director at Microsoft Research in Redmond, leading the LEAP (Language, Learning, Audio, Privacy) research area (five research groups), the Data Science team, the Central Engineering organization, and the Research Technology Engineering organization.
I am also an Affiliate Full Professor at the University of Washington . Recently, I led applied science for Cortana and I was chief scientist at Microsoft Health.
