Fondant is used to decorate high-end and advanced sculpted cakes. It is also used to make flowers and decorations that are to adorn such cakes. This is what Mom is ready to learn to do. Anyone that knows her is aware of her ability to bake, ice and decorate beautiful and delicious cakes using buttercream and other traditional icings. Adding fondant to her resume is a goal that brought her back to Texas and Hobby Lobby in Frisco to take classes with Ms. Joyce Wilson.
The first class assignment is to make a fondant bow. The bow is white and can be used to later decorate a cake. Here’s some photos that I took in the class:
