Dr. Sawar Dhanania took over charge as the Chairman of the Rubber Board on 30 June 2021 vide Office Order No. K-40011/2/2020-Plant-C dtd 29 June 2021 and Gazette notification No. 2714 dtd 26 July 2021. The appointment is for a period of three years. Dr. Dhanania was earlier the Chairman of the Rubber Board from August 2019 to May 2020. He had also functioned as member of the Rubber Board from May 2017 to May 2020
Mr. M. Vasanthagesan IRS took over charge as the Executive Director of the Rubber Board, on 17 April 2023. He was working as Additional Commissioner in Customs (Preventive), Kochi.

RRII is a member of the International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDB) and actively participates in many international research programmes.
