Her focus was and is to encourage civic engagement among all Fil-Ams in order to experience political empowerment. For many years she also sought equity and recognition for the Filipino World War II Veterans.
She serves as Board member or Consultant to Las Vegas OCA , LV Hawaiian Civic Club , Asian Community Resource Center , Asian Community Development Council , Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance , Service Employees International Union , APIAVote , and Asian American Justice Center .
Rozita was a former White House Commissioner serving on President Obama’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She was influential in the appointments of AAPI Judges: Federal, District, and State.
