The Yorkie breed was developed in the 19 th Century in Yorkshire England and live approximately 13 to 16 years. Our dogs, as a result of our breeding, have shown a life expectancy of 17 to 22 years. Per International and AKC standards adult Yorkies grow to 7″ to 9” tall at the shoulder and range in size from 4 to 7 pounds.
