As a Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholar and a fellow of the Global Strategy Lab (York University) and the Canadian International Council , I examine how laws, norms and power structures influence global health equity and the realization of health as a human right.
My interdisciplinary research is published across high impact-factor public health journals, scholarly legal and social science journals, commissioned reports, as well as textbooks and casebooks of law. I regularly guest lecture as well as supervise and mentor students in graduate programs ranging from law and the social sciences, to public health and medicine.
Having worked for government, nongovernmental and international organizations, I am also committed to research in the service of promoting health justice, informing public debate and achieving policy impact.
