Ronald van den Boogaard honed his craftsmanship as a commercial illustrator and conceptualizing skills as an art-director. During these commercial times, fine arts have always been a sideline which eventually won as the main activity.
While paper is his natural habitat, his curiosity takes him on ventures to other media which include ceramics and encaustics. Just as the media are not a given, nor is the subject matter that freely roams from the intuitive to conceptually based observations and protests.
