Robert McClure composes music for people and computers. He holds a doctorate from Rice University. He has previously held positions at Soochow University and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Composition/Theory at Ohio University in Athens, OH.

His work has been featured at festivals including the New York City Electronic Music Festival, the Sonorities Festival of Contemporary Music, the Bejing Modern Music Festival, the Toronto International Electroacoustic Symposium, ISCM, SCI, SEAMUS, and ICMC (International Computer Music Conference).
