The Catawba Lands Conservancy has been working to restore the health of Forney Creek for nearly 15 years. The first property the Conservancy protected along Forney Creek was Sally’s Y Preserve, which was conserved in 2007. The Conservancy has found opportunities over the last decade to protect additional properties along the stream , with the goal of improving water quality, and now conserves over 300 acres of land within the Upper Forney Creek watershed.
