President / Owner of Denise A. Tuite Custom Furnishings Denise A. Tuite started in the antique business in 1970 and spent the next 18 years creating her metal works on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, then moved to the Decoration and Design Building in New York. She is now creating custom metal work.
Denise’s career has focused on manufacturing metal furniture reproduction of the style exhibited according to the 18th century master artist Diego Giacometti (1902-1985) who lived in Switzerland.
Those familiar with his pastoral intensity of design and master constructs will immediately recognize the resemblance of her metal artwork to those Diego Giacometti created and his craftsmanship, workmanship, metal working, and use of architectural metals, are showcased especially in her pieces created from bronze.
