The Registration Council is currently running on two sites. Our official sister site www.reg-council-dtbp.uk contains all the general information on the RCDTBP. During stages one and two this website is being used to develop the database areas for Signatories to build their professional profiles. The two sites will be merged in stage three.
The Registration Council was founded to register signatories to the CAWC Code , be they individuals or related organisations. This is not just a piece of paper, it is a personal commitment to the standards set by it. In implementing the Code, the Council has provided professional profiling and public feedback facilities, to meet future and professional demands. Having attended a recent consultation meeting on licencing and responsible ownership, many are encouraging action on further regulations.
All individual practitioners are influential in the education of the public, and as such, we (practitioners) need to unite and offer mutual support and guidance to help ensure everyone provides most appropriate service in the best way possible. This is not a competition but at times, with so much confusion, it feels like it. The RCDTBP is all inclusive and welcomes all related organisations and individuals committed to animal welfare and responsible ownership, regardless of other affiliations.
