New Testament Church Warfare
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
The New Testament reveals that the church is opposed by the devil and his angels. According to the Apostle Paul, they are specifically arranged in a spiritual hierarchy of evil against the church. (2 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 2:2; 6:12; 1 Thessalonians 2:18; etc.; cf. Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-19; Revelation 12:9)
