I’m honored to serve as the Councilmember for Berkeley’s District 1, encompassing the northwest section of Berkeley including the Gilman District, Fourth Street shops, several major parks (Ohlone, Cedar Rose, James Kenney, and Cesar Chavez), as well as the North Berkeley BART Station. I’m focused on creating a more vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable community for everyone. I serve on the Public Safety Policy Committee, where I am working with my Council colleagues to promote the safety of our neighborhoods. I also serve on the Health, Life Enrichment, Equity & Community Policy Committee, where my focus is addressing homelessness using an evidence-based approach.
I also serve on what is known as the “3×3 Committee” of the Berkeley City Council and the Berkeley Housing Authority and as the liaison to the City’s Community Health Commission.
