Wet grinding uses a liquid to mitigate fire hazards, by lubricating the grinding surface, when mixing metals. Dry grinding is a process used when metals are being ground that are heat-sensitive or in a high-production facility.
OD grinding is the process used to create smooth, round surfaces on the exterior of a workpiece and is typically used to improve the dimensional accuracy of and finish of objects such as, shafts, rods and tubes.
