I am an assistant professor at the Psychology Department and Computer Science Department at Rutgers University, New Brunswick . I am also affiliated with the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science. Previously I was a C.V. Starr post-doc research fellow at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute. I had my doctoral degree from Carnegie Mellon University jointly in the Machine Learning Department, under the School of Computer Science, and the Center for Neural Basis of Cognition.

My research combines computational modeling, behavioral methods and neural imaging to understand human memory. I am interested in how the human memory system uses its limited cognitive resources to efficiently retrieve past experiences and knowledge, and how we as researchers can design methods to improve human memory performance.

I direct the Memory Optimization Lab and currently recruiting students at all levels. Please find more information about joining my lab here ( Lab Website ).
