Last Friday, 19th May,2023 the university flagged off the first contingent of Nursing and Occupational Therapy students, who are set to undertake their clinical rotation ,as part of their training .Among the hospitals they will be sent to include: Kenyatta National Hospital(KNH) ,PCEA Chogoria , Mathare, Mbagathi, Wangige, PCEA Tumutumu, Karuri, Tigoni , Gatundu among others, most of which are Level 4 and 5 Hospitals.
Later in the evening, the Presbyterian University signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of South Alabama, USA. Presenting the MOU to the Vice chancellor, Rev. Cannon Prof Wangari Mwai and top PUEA management was Dr. Sylvia Waweru-Smith, PhD- an assistant Professor in the South Alabama college of Nursing.
This MOU will see both universities collaborating for years to come especially in the field of Nursing, where students and academic staff will profit from exchange programs for the purpose of research, teaching and development, among other benefits.
