The Police Service Commission is created under Section 91 of the Dominica Constitution Order (PDF, 3.6 MB) . It has the power to appoint persons to hold or act in offices in the Police Force below the rank of Deputy Chief of Police (including the power to confirm appointments), to exercise disciplinary control over persons holding or acting in such offices and the power to remove such persons from office.
