Project L-O-V-E is a collaboration between ORBF and The Boon Initiatives . L-O-V-E focuses on deep, compassionate and comprehensive care widows, single mothers and disability-afflicted families. We provide a full spectrum of support; from nutrition, to legal, to education, to health, to professional development. Our aim is to uplift these families and ensure a better future for their children.
1) L-iving Standard: To make sure no one goes hungry. ORBF provides each family that needs it a bag of rations (Basic staples for a month) and some fresh fruits /vegetables / milk / eggs. It is just not fair that we have so much excess and there are people struggling to eat one healthy meal a day. We provide them with access to medical care. We would like to build up a team of doctors who are willing to help us – we are currently working with the DOW Class of 2000.
. 2) O-pportunity: Find what skill sets the mother or father (in disabled families) have, and try to work out a way for them to be self sufficient – if not completely, at least partially. The Boon Initiatives works to create income generating opportunities for these families. Non-profit self-sustaning businesses such as afterthesun.life are providing training and home based work.
