Description: Project Dance is an arts organisation based in the South West of England founded by James Bamford in 2018. We believe that in challenging the status quo, elevating each other and being brave enough to try something new, there is the opportunity to carve a future to look forward to and the ability to live in a present that we can all be proud of.
Project Dance has two distinct branches: Project Dance Community and The Project Dance Company , which work simultaneously to achieve the company’s goals. Unapologetically youth led, Project Dance is run by a team of passionate young people who value the importance art has on society and are united by a love for the universal language of dance.
image/svg+xml Growing Pains The Project Dance Company premiered Growing Pains, its first ever full length theatre production. Consisting of a cast of 30 young dancers from across the UK, rehearsals commenced 10 days before opening night. The world premiere took place at The Exchange, Sturminster Newton on Saturday 27th August 2022.
An evening of music and dance showcasing talent from across the south of England, Collective was a specially curated one-night-only event produced by Project Dance in aid of the Octagon Theatre Redevelopment and Project Dance's Young Dancer Bursary Fund.
