Cambridge council has banned the POST from its Floreat library because of the psychological hazard the newspaper poses to staff and its “negative depiction” of the council. Mayor Keri Shannon had raised the issue, according to Cambridge director Kelton Hincks.

A speeding ute flew at least 40 metres into the Swan River at Peppermint Grove after smashing through a crash barrier on The Esplanade in the early hours of Thursday morning. The male driver in his 20s was able to make his own way back to shore. He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance.
