Portobello Ceilidh Band is one of Scotland’s longest-established and best-loved ceilidh bands, providing traditional ceilidh music with a dedicated dancefloor caller for weddings, birthday parties, retirements, anniversaries, conferences, fundraisers, and community ceilidhs.
Whether you and your guests are ceilidh novices, people who remember a handful of dances from school or ceilidh fanatics doesn’t matter: What’s most important to us is that you and your guests have great fun dancing to our swinging, toe-tapping tunes.
We have played at events ranging from the Opening of the Scottish Parliament to the Forth Road Bridge Birthday Party to Edinburgh’s Hogmanay (according to the Guinness Book of Records, the largest ever Strip the Willow was part of the ceilidh we ran at the ‘Night Afore Fiesta’ on 30 December 2000).
