We have now run two Saturday morning working parties and made an excellent start on the project to revitalise our garden area and provide a Wellbeing Garden. It is still a work in progress but we can already see a huge improvement. Individual patients are now coming in during the weekday afternoons to continue working on different areas and more volunteers would be very welcome so do get in touch if you would like to help.
Our vision is to create a calm outdoor space for patients to use when they need to talk quietly with a friend or someone from the surgery, or to decompress after their appointment before driving home.
Many of the volunteers were from Portesham but of course the garden will be for all our patients so we hope to have support from our other villagers. You can help by coming to our next working party or by donating any unwanted items or plants from your own garden.
