Five months after Desert Trip was announced in May 2016, we and our dear friends finally reached the holy ground of our rock ‘n roll pilgrimage. On the first day of Desert Trip (weekend 2) we arrived at the Empire Polo Club fields before 2 p.m. when the gates were to open.
