What makes a video game memorable? The graphics, to be sure; there’s a filesave in my brain dedicated to that part in Paper Mario when you see Rogueport for the first time. The story, and the moments we all remember: General Leo. Aeris. Marle jumping through the stained-glass window.

Most of all, though, we remember the music. The boss battle, the warp whistle, the overworld theme. The music is what keeps us going as we build levels; that “item get” noise is a power-up for us as much as it is for our character.

Pixeltone Music works with game development companies to power-up their games with creative, adaptive, and interactive soundtracks. You can hear my tracks below, or play some of the games I’ve composed for here . Right now I’m working with SWDTech Games on our first game-- Pixel Noir , a 16-bit RPG launching on iOS and Android OS later this year.
