Unintentional injuries or "accidents" remain a persistent issue within Pima County and pose a risk to community members of all ages. Within Pima County, accidents are the third leading cause of death among all age groups and the leading cause of death among children. Accidents in Pima County also account for a higher percentage of deaths than the state’s capitol, Phoenix, and the entirety of Arizona.
