Los Angeles based musician Wayne Whittaker, an east coast transplant and Berklee College of Music graduate, has supported countless artists over the course of his career. Since relocating to LA in 2018, Whittaker has worked and recorded with an array of artists including Diane Coffee , The Grand Southern , Nolie , Tiberius B , Alain Whyte , Spelles , Magana , and Dolly Ave .
Wayne has been a long-time collaborator with indie-pop duo Haerts . The groups most recent albums, New Compassion (2018) and Dream Nation (2021) , both feature Whittaker’s warm, supportive, and creative bass playing.
In his days as a hustling bass player in Boston, Whittaker worked with the likes of Katie Von Schleicher , Stephen Konrads & The Eternals , Civic (with whom he co-produced albums Things With Feathers and Face Blindness ), Wilder Maker , and Marissa Nadler while also serving as a gun-for-hire at local recording studios, including his collaborations with Medford MA’s The Soul Shop .
