Description: Inclusive Disability Employment Program
The Professional Fellows Program on Inclusive Disability Employment (PFP-IDE) was an international exchange program that provided mentorship, networking and guidance for professionals from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda committed to inclusive employment for persons with disabilities.
PFP-IDE Fellows participated in five-week exchange trainings at U.S. university centers for education and research on disabilities. They learned strategies to empower persons with disabilities and developed inclusive employment projects to implement in Africa.
PFP-IDE was sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It was administered by the Association of University Centers on Disabilities ( AUCD ), the Institute for Community Inclusion ( ICI-UMass Boston ), and Humanity & Inclusion ( HI ).
