Solumedrol Shortage in PEMS Medication Kits
ALL PEMS Region EMS Providers - During the week of June 19, 2023, it was brought to light that there may be shortages of Solumedrol which may affect the medication inventory of the PEMS’ medication kits. If this takes place, it will be noted on the exterior of the medication kit and Dexamethasone will be used as a temporary substitute when Soulumedrols is not available. This has been approved by Dr. Louka, Dr. Dodd, Dr. Justis, and reviewed by the Pharmacy Committee representative Tanya Claiborne.
