Description: The Animal Mission is a 501(c)3 charitable organization in South Carolina which promotes pet adoptions, enhances conditions and outcomes for shelter animals, educates people on pet and humane issues and promotes spay/neuters throughout the Midlands. We do not operate a shelter. Instead we raise funds and distribute those funds to worthy projects, communities and organizations. We are run solely by volunteers and have no paid staff.

Now in its 15th year, the Palmetto Peanut Boil has grown from a small backyard affair to an annual outdoor festival drawing thousands of attendees from all over the Midlands. Highlighting the best of the best cooks and recipes in SC, the competition features teams vying for the honor of the championship trophy and bragging rights for another year.
And along with the competition, the Palmetto Peanut Boil also offers live music, food, and kids’ entertainment. Leashed pets are welcome!
