On the Peddar’s Way, ancient Castle Acre is a conserved Norfolk village with the remains of a Clunaic Priory, the ruins of an 11th Century castle and a 15th Century church. Set on high ground, overlooking farm and woodland, Castle Acre is a pretty village with a pub/restaurant, shop, post office, tea room and café. There is a playing field with children’s play area and skate park. The shallow river Nar is a few minutes walk from the village.

The cottage is a Grade II listed 18th Century building of brick and flint is in the centre of the village. It’s set well back from the road with a good-sized front garden and a lime shaded, south facing terrace at the back with views over the Nar valley. Shop: 200 yards Pub: 200 yards
