Doug Smith, the founder of the OBC, and head coach of Muskingum University wanted to create an opportunity for schools that do not have extensive budgets, the ability to offer their teams a quality season and wide range of competition without the high costs.
Rest In Peace, Coach Coach Jeanneret, University of Northwestern Ohio David Alan Jeanneret, 55, of Wapakoneta, died 5:07 a.m., Mon. Oct. 23, 2023, at The Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus, OH, with his family at his side. He was born in Lima, Dec. 29, 1967, the son of Delmar & J. Sue (Davis) Jeanneret. His mother survives in Wapakoneta, and his father preceded him in death. On May 20, 2000, he married Laura A. Moore, and she survives. Other survivors include, 2 daughters, Josie L. Jeannere
