Short history of how our standard model was build.
Our standard theory was built over many years based on a static representation of particles where the whole mass or energy of a particle is concentrated in a small volume in space. This raw representation led to situations where the theory could not explain experimental data. To overcome this limitation, in each case a new particle, a new type of matter, a new type of energy or a new special construction was introduced. New theories are often rejected with the argument that our Standard Model reproduces well all experimental data, forgetting, that our standard model was adapted over the years adding fictitious entities and helpmates and made consistent as good as possible to eliminate possible contradictions.
