We are a group of 8 singers and an accompanist, based in and around Settle in North Yorkshire, who perform a wide range of vocal music, some of it unaccompanied, drawing from much of the classical repertoire of 16th-20th centuries (and even into the 21st!), and in a lighter vein from the jazz-and swing-orientated music of the first half of the 20th century.

Octameron was formed in 1996, although many members of the group have been singing together in one form or another for much longer than this. We have given a large number of concerts in our area over the years, often by invitation from fund-raising charities and similar.

Gilbert & Sullivan and songs from the shows also feature in our concerts which include solo items as well as duets and trios and even, in appropriate circumstances, a barbershop quartet. We believe we can put together a programme
