The name OceanSafe derives from our technology and textile materials’ trait of being safe for the worlds’ oceans. In case a textile product is made with OceanSafe technology, it does not emit persistent microplastics, toxicants or other harmful materials into the environment or water cycles.
Although OS Certified and OS materials overlap, the two must not be confused. OceanSafe materials solely refers our developments of circular textile materials –currently naNea and coNea. OceanSafe Certified is our holistic product development solution for circular finished products. Major pillars of this solution are our component kit, certified value chains and solutions for end of life.
