The human-animal bond is real – and precious. Coastal Humane Society works to preserve this bond by helping people on the Outer Banks of North Carolina care for their pets. We understand that pets are part of families. Losing a pet is devastating to the whole family. The possibility of not being able to care for a pet because of finances is distressing.
Yet, emergencies and life-events happen. Sometimes a pet owner cannot afford veterinary costs when their pet needs to be spayed or neutered, is sick or injured, or requires an operation. This is when the Coastal Humane Society steps in to help.
As a result, Outer Banks pets and their people stay together; pets are healthier; and no one is forced to give up or compromise their pet’s care due to financial hardship.
