The Obligations Conference brings together scholars and practitioners from across the common law world to discuss current issues in contract law, the law of torts, equity and unjust enrichment. The series originated at Melbourne Law School, where the first conference was held in 2002 and the second in 2004. Subsequent conferences in the series have been held in Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada and the UK. Details of the conferences held so far are provided on the I - IX page .
The tenth conference in the series will be held at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Alberta, Canada from 11-14 July 2023 and will address the theme Private Law and the State .
The Obligations Conference series is convened by Andrew Robertson .
