Description: The New Zealand Association of General Surgeons is a membership based organisation of general surgeons throughout New Zealand.
The 2023 ASM will be held in sunny NELSON 29th and 30th of April 2023. Please mark your diaries. We will be discussing the future of health care in NZ. Four overseas speakers, and many NZ general surgeons are on the programme which will be announced soon.
Membership is open to all duly qualified surgeons who are recognised as and practice as Specialist General Surgeons. No restrictions shall be imposed on any person by virtue of religious or political beliefs, gender, nationality, race or age, but the Society shall have the right to refuse membership to any person without assigning any reason thereof.
NZAGS recognises Māori as Tangata whenua (people of the land) of New Zealand.
