New Yorkers for Better Public Transit is a coalition of people from all corners of the state, representing a variety of interests, who care about the impact that public transit systems have in their communities, on the economy, and the lives of those who rely on these systems across New York State. While the coalition remains the same, our work this year is focused on economic recovery and revitalization.
The goal is to educate lawmakers and other decision-makers about the enormous benefits of public transportation, and let them know transit is essential to economic vitality in New York state. Investing in public transit leads to sustainable success in our economy, classrooms, medical centers, places of business, and homes.
