Through the Retro Italiano Jazz Band, they also play Italian folk songs, gypsy jazz, and Italian standards.

Michael Grasso is a trumpet and piano player who performs in the Baltimore/Washington area with the Not 2 Cool Jazz Band. He plays classic jazz, swing music, bossa nova, and soft rock with an emphasis on timeless music from the 1920s through the 1970s. He specializes in music made popular by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Toots Thielemans, as well as selected soft rock by the Beatles, Carole King, Jimmy Webb, and Elton John.
He is available for anniversaries, birthdays, memorials, weddings, private parties, corporate functions, jazz brunches, fundraisers, and farmers markets. He can perform as a duo with trumpet/guitar or piano/bass duo, as a trio with trumpet/guitar/bass or piano/bass/vocalist, or in other combinations. The band is very flexible and can fit into surprisingly small spaces, perform inside or outside, amplified or acoustic.
